getting 520 end May.
intend to upsize rims to Breyton 19 inch. what stagger size is recommended?

Breytons already come staggered. Ur tyre shop will be able to advise on which width tyres to use.

Michelin PSS. Mines 285/30/20 rear, and 255/35/20 front.

Depends on budget.

Dunlop to Yokohama to Bridgestone to good year to conti to Michelin to Pirelli many makes to choose.

I use Bridgestone becos I get good price for it at LS.

I use Toyo, cheap and quiet jepun tyre and it is non run flat so lighter
(I carry a SONAX in case of tyre puncture SONAX Tyre fix :: Tyres, Rims, Rubber :: Products :: Car Care - SONAX Singapore)
They are bought at Autobacs around $14.50.

If I remember correctly, BMW specs for 19" are F8.5J-245/40/19 & R9J-275/35/19

I just ordered 20" OEM 343 rims. Asked around and found that the max width recommended is 8.5J for the front and 10J for the rear. As for tires I was recommended 255/35/20(front) and 285/30/20(rear). You can go 275 if you want to save of gas consumption a little bit.

I just ordered 20" OEM 343 rims. Asked around and found that the max width recommended is 8.5J for the front and 10J for the rear. As for tires I was recommended 255/35/20(front) and 285/30/20(rear). You can go 275 if you want to save of gas consumption a little bit.

Yes, I'm running the same staggered set up.
In fact 285 is closest to stock diameter. 275 is slightly under sized.

if using rim width thats smaller than 10j, then might have to use 275
