Newcomer without the BMW

Hey all!

My name is Amery, and I'm actually working with HOTstuff magazine. I just registered a few minutes ago, but I don't own a BMW, so dont' shoot me!

Ok having said that, I used to drive a slightly modded 1984 635CSi around in Sydney when I was pursuing my studies there. Its always nice to restore a classic

The main reason why I'm posting here though, is that HOTstuff is actually having a big evenit, namely the Fast and Furious movie launch along Siloso beach at Sentosa, and we need the support of the BMW club ever so badly (see details on a seperate posting) and I was thinking of buying an E30, not in SG but across the causeway (I drive back to JB every day) so it would be nice to get in touch with fellow bimmers again -grin-

Hi Amery, welcome to the forum. It is not the ownership of marque that qualifies membership. As for the F&F launch in Sentosa, someone has highlighted the event in this forum. Cheers.

Thats a smart thing to do Amery. U can buy a better BMW across the causeway. I am thinking of changing citizenship too.

Any 'insider' update on whats gonna happen at sentosa for the F&F ?

hahaa...u seirously want to change citizenship ah? well, if we earn in $SGD and convert, its easier to find the classics like an E30, E34 and so on....but the new models (for example the 730Li) cost just as much as in Singapore, if not more, because of the horribly high import taxes in Malaysia (because of you know what lah...Proton..Perodua...Naza...)

O ya...fast n furious launch, apparently we were told that approx. 600 out of 1000 tickets have been snapped up, which leaves us a meagre 350 car clubs...:S everything is in a mess now lah, but the picture is becoming clear now...and hopefully it'll turn out well with everyone's support...hehe

Hmm..would the owner of the Rapture M3 happen to be in this forum? :woowooo: haha
