Original Exhaust and Aftermarket Exhaust

Hi everyone,

For those who have changed their exhaust system, does your aftermarket exhaust functions better than the original exhaust? And do you experience any problems with the aftermarket exhaust system?

I changed to a Remus and replaced the headers. It droned like crazy so I drive with the top down to reduce the effect.

My neighbors hated my ride especially in the night ....... Complain that the area how come become like paya lobar airport.

Enjoyed it while it was still with me ..... Got a more sedated ride now ......

No problems encounterred back then even with the headers.

Was yours Remus Sports? They drone quite a bit.

You're right! Why change?
The original exhaust is considered as the best by bmw team of hundreds of fluid mechanics and acoustic engineers.
those after market are considered as 12y whisky, very rough.
The original is 25y one.

Original exhaust is like wine, nice and smooth. Aftermarket exhaust is like vodka, packs a hell of a punch. One man's exhaust is another man's poison...

No CELs. Installed HIOP header back then.

The only thing is that the exhaust fumes smelled ......

correction........
REMUS or other after market makes...... a make by a group of very specialize mechanics and acoustic engineers! THEY ARE MAINLY SPECIALIZES in EXHAUST and other performance mods...LIKE M! AMG ! if stock is SO GOOD...... there is no M, AMG , RALLI ART etc.
MY STANCE IS VERY CLEAR..if worry so much.....stay stock!

When you guys talk about modding exhaust, is it just catback muff or headers/downpipes + decat + muff?
