Pls clarify: F12 M6 convertible comes with full LED headlights or not?

Dear bros...
Went down to Singapore Yacht Show to see the newly launched M6 convertible today. Was dressed in a simple black T shirt and jeans, one hand holding my little 5 year old daughter and the other hand her water bottle and barang barang...

Wah the car is damn nice... My daughter said: "daddy look like your car!". Well I do drive a F12 640i convertible. Anyway I was admiring the car and noticed the headlights look really really cool and different from mine...and I recall bro wobbles mentioning about full LED headlights for high end model of the 6 series. So I opened my mouth and asked the Munich SE there. I would expect good professional advice but guess what? He kinda looked at me...and I know that look ok! Like eh this car expensive hor...blah blah blah.. He went on to tell me angel lights in LED is latest and standard in BMWs etc etc... But hey that is not what I asked... I alrdy knew that cos my own car has it! What I wanted to know is if the headlights are full LED too... Which the SE gave me the don't know what u talking about look...

Anyway I jus find it rather amusing... The SE doesn't quite know his product leh.. Sad la... Munich people care to comment???

And any bros here can enlighten me on the LED headlights enquiry? I couldnt get it at a sales event from the SE... Guess I have better chance here at our forums...

For PML's f12 640i and 650i adaptive LED headlights is not standard. Strangely it is standard on the less expensive f13 640i and 650i. Maybe next batch will be standard. For MA's M6 it is standard.

One simple way to know whether the lights are LED or normal bi xenon is by the way the corona rings are shaped. Normal bi Xenons (well, normal for the time being) have CIRCULAR corona angel eyes..

Full LED have the top and bottom parts of the coronas flattened

Bro wobbles... That was what I saw... Flattened corona rings! But the MA SE said don't have. WT... #%¥€>... Thought they would know the product they are selling better...
I am actually quite disappointed... Tsk Tsk Tsk... I almost wanted to have a mini "discussion" with the SE but a bit difficult with my little girl with me...

Well... no offense to anybody but there's a reason why we forumers are here. I'm not sure what kind of salary a SA gets but IMHO if there's no passion... there's no passion.

Even if the SA is well trained and know about the adaptive LEDs, try asking them how it compares to, say, an Audi or Merc.

It's hard to teach a person to have passion...

Don't remember or know who attended to you Sir but my apologies if the conversation or sales pitch was not up to standard. I would stay out of the experience but with regards to the answer for your question, the other forumers have given the answer. Those are full LED headlights. Wobbles is right, you tell the difference with the round corona rings (Angel eyes) and flat top/bottom ones. Also, if you stare into the projecter itself, you would not see a round like bulb, but rather a led with multiple reflectors inside. Very simple, and yet effective design.

On an honest note I too wonder about the F12 and F13 having differnt lights as standard. When PML and MA had a road show at suntec during MI4, the F12 and F13 were both on display. That was also the first time I saw the difference between the 2 headlights.

To end things yes MA's cars will all come with the Fully LED headlights. That is atleast the plan for now. Now I do need to remind everyone that the M6 today is just a preview, and thou we are taking orders for now, it is more of an allocation. The actual launch of this car will be in June instead. Thus the specs are not 100% confirmed. Having said this, I would assure you MA cars are usually 90-95% spec. What you guys saw today, thats pretty accuate.

Ok anyone have anymore questions, please contact me or one of my team mates. We will try our best to assist. I do hope to have the answers for the questions from customers all the time but for those cases where we don't, I will make a point to you guys that we will find the answer for you.

The sales pitch was definitely not to standard... The sales person didn't look interested and didn't bother to provide more details... Anyway probably this is just a preview. Hopefully the sales pitch will get better during the actual launch in June.

Hmm I thought the MA staff were pretty friendly - was just loitering around and the reception girls invited me to take a look at the M6 and the guys inside the room were chatty. By the way I got to Sentosa in a taxi and wore t-shirt and Giordano bermudas... dressing has little to do with it.

Could the fact that you already own a 6 Series have raised your expectation of how you "should" be received? No offence man, it was probably just a miscomm la.

Did you check out the big-ass yachts? I thought the brokers were really respectful as they showed guests around, even if the boats cost more than a few M6s

Sorry I have no expectations... Even if I drive a Lamborghini or make millions a year... All I expect is for sales staff to know their stuff... That is all... If don't know and not sure, consult somebody who knows...

Yeah perhaps. I probably misread your first post as suggesting that wearing a simple black t-shirt and jeans and the salesman not knowing that you do drive an F12 640i convertible made a difference to your experience.

LED light is cool, but can still be leaky ... although, to be truthful, after the other AD changed them, the water condensation issue is MUCH better now, so I'm a happy boy again.

Oilman... U didn't misread.. Sad to say, some people still judge u by what u wear... Anyway I don't go round declaring I drive a certain type of car jus to expect better privileged treatment... In my line of work, I treat all people equal... And sales people should too...u never know whether that person may jus purchase the car off you or not...provided u as a sales person show interest and knowledge in your product...that matters...

To add on to what bro omshks said, passion is important, and a passion in serving will definitely make a big difference to a (potential) customer. Maybe, to be fair, you just caught the sales rep @ an 'off' moment. We are all humans, and prone to having a couple of off days

You know, I visited Mazda's showroom and as we know it... pretty much empty. But I must give the sales girl credit. She knows her stuff... or at least the CX-5 that I was looking at. BTW the CX-5 is quite decent.

just to add, i think whatever information or training made available to the SAs would play an important part. if HQ gives a not so exact or complete info, i think they would be in a fix too in what to answer u.

another important traits for the better SAs are perhaps those who make the extra bit to learn or find out more info abt their products. then again, learning by hard memorization is one thing while learning with passion probably makes it easier for some to understand their own products by HEART...

just my 2 cents also....hehe
