Quad exhaust for S23i E89

Hi all,

Need some advice from you :

I have always love the look of a quad exhaust . As S23i does not come with a legal quad exhaust , can anyone advise me what I can do as I am aware that some bros here have managed to have it installed . Below are some options that I have been toying for a while :

option 1
@ maintain current exhaust + install a dummy twin tips

Qn :
-where to find a identical tips
- if I change (cut ) the tip of my original exhaust ( chrome ) , is it still legal ?
- which workshop can help me with this ?

Option 2
@ change exhaust to supersprint or Remus ( read from the forum that Remus has serious droning problem thus I'm avoiding that although I do not know what is droning ) on one side and put a dummy tip on the other

Qn:
- again , which workshop will be able to help including cutting the bumper nicely to receive the new tips
- will I pass inspection without removing the dummy ?
- what is the diameter of the tips ? Current stock tips are around 60mm right ?
- are that any other legal exhuast that I can consider ? Just need a bassy sound but not too loud

Option 3
- don't do anything ..... Continue suffering :verysad:



If you could share some pic of your mod on the rear , it will be much appreciated .... Thanks in advance and sorry for the long mail .

The eisenmann quad exhaust is illegal eh.


I suggest you go for dummy pipes. Change the tips to at least 76mm. Get the exhaust shop to cut the right side for your quads. Can try Racetech,Foongkim, MannExhaust. All can cut sui-sui for you.


I've tried doing quads on my Z4.
Low end really suffered even after tuning. Bad for your FC too you know?
Instead of making your air flow straighter, your bending the pipes into 2 from the resonater ; left and right. Think of it this way, instead of making the flow of the air strictly to the left side, you have made the air flow 2 ways.Taking a longer time to flow out. It'll affect your low end for sure.

*Edit: Correct me if i'm wrong but i think the smoother the bends the better your air flow. So if your quads exhaust has smoother bends then the stock means there'll be a performance increase? Hmm

Logically the lesser your bends the better your airflow no? i.e Higher HP?


FYI, Dummy tips can pass inspection for sure hahaha.

Btw, any one uses super sprint ( twin tip ) ? How the sound n if passenger will suffer in the cabin ?

Hahah don't stare for too long ya.
If i'm not wrong Remus has the worst Droning in the cabin. Sounds really bassy. Eisenmann more throaty. Sosexy zomgg

wow ... the cutting skill is tok kong man
seldom see 'perfect' cut with sibei smooth edges and almost 100% symmetrical
