1. why cant i log onto bmw-sg in the wee hours. i have problem logging on from like 4am to 7am....

2. what happened to shameless' looking for Z4 thread? deleted?

It got shifted to a private folder for now.

cos i wake up go cycling or running mah....so i always log on to read mah....support bmw-sg also cannot meh. ai race mai? duathlon coming.

servers where got shut down one....usually running 24hrs mah unless maintenance

maybe next time u can try 3am...then see if server shut u down...
if it did, then it could only mean 1 THING...

how i know may be times r bad. ppl save electricity. frankly i surf only 3 forums conscientiously. this is number 1 cos all my kakis here. the other being bicycle and triathlon forum.

as for servers, usually if servers are hosted by vendors its 24hrs.
maybe if only for internal use, they might off it after office hours, ie intranet.
but then again there are times when the server ki xiao, hang or reset by itself, hence the downtime or maintenance during the nite when traffic is minimal

toto, the site shd be online 24 hrs. but often, in the wee hours, some intensive maintenance scripts run and this causes the server to go into very high load (limp mode of sorts).. sometimes when I do notice it, I will do a reboot.
