Question about resetting adaptation/gearbox

Hi bros I've read on other forums that there is this process where you insert your key and without pressing on brakes, push the start stop button then depress accelerator for 30 secs - apparantly this "resets" the gearbox to default mode.

May i know if anyone has tried this before and what does it actually do? Will it cause any impact to a car which has its ECU re-mapped or has a piggyback?

Thanks for any advice!

placebo effect.

If you're not sure what that means, it doesn't work. you "feel" as if it works but it doesn't nothing. Read also that some people say it does make the car feel more sporty for a short period. but nothing permanent. Only way to really reset is through the use of diagnostics software.

Re: Question about resetting adaptation/gearbox

It only resets the high level adaptations ..... Will not affect the piggybacks etc ...

Thanks for all the insights! Let me try out later to see any difference. Might really be a placebo.
