  • Bought a recommeded product after reading good feedback from our members.
  • When down to this popular recommeded workshop in the resource page to get it installed and tested
  • Very satisfied but after less than 3 months, the product causes ther problems to my ride.
  • Car broke down and send to another workshop for repair. Cost me $200 and they took out the product saying that is the cause
  • When to the recommeded workshop and ask them to test the product. They confirm there is some faults and in it and took it out. They also found other parts damaged by it and cost me another $300
  • They say cannot contact manufacturer for replacement.
  • I kept calling them for the past 3 months and cannot get any replacement
  • The boss say cannot find the foreign distributor and ask me to wait.
Question : If you are the local agent for the product, shouldn't you take up the responsibility to replace or refund the product cost and not push the responsibility away?

Can I force the boss for a full refund?

Thank you.

Re: Recommeded workshop "siam" responsibility

You should. Else spill the beans here. All the details.

Re: Recommeded workshop "siam" responsibility

Usually in cases like this a full refund is not very likely.
Would you like to share more info on what product it is?

The workshop would act as a dealer or distributor regarding this matter. They do not have a hand in the engineering or manufacturing of this product. I guess it is only fair that the workshop gets a firm answer from the original distributor or manufacturer before acting on their behalf.

However if the manufacturer or distributor denies all responsibility then I guess you would have to speak to the workshop owner since both you the consumer and the workshop owner are victims in this case.

Re: Recommeded workshop "siam" responsibility

Thanks brother, will go down to the workshop and ask for refund. Will let you know if got problem.

Re: Recommeded workshop "siam" responsibility

The point is whether the boss is telling the truth or not I don't know. If not full refund, he needs to compensate me something than asking me to wait.:furious:

Confirm not solar powered torchlight?

Re: Recommeded workshop "siam" responsibility

sad to know your encounter. pls share workshop details so that we can avoid

Re: Recommeded workshop "siam" responsibility

why did you send to another workshop when the car break down the first time??
shouldnt you drive straight to the 'recommended workshop' since you have and idea what causes it then?

On a neutral stand what would you have deemed to be fair to you as a compensation?

Waiting is part and parcel of life although I agree the length of time is very subjective.

Re: Recommeded workshop "siam" responsibility

dpointt, this workshop is good at mods and initially I though is normal wear and tear, so I send to another workshop as is cheaper.

Not fuel additive lah, is something to do with the electrical side. I think you will know which workshop I went by now. I cannot deny that their service is good and many of you guys and gals like to send your ride there except for this stuipid "IXXX" thing that I have installed from them. Maybe my car too old, cannot mod liao :lol2: and got to drive like a snail...:lol2:

Re: Recommeded workshop "siam" responsibility

can tell us what product it is so we know we should avoid?

Re: Recommeded workshop "siam" responsibility

Re: Recommeded workshop "siam" responsibility

Ya, is the IVAC. Maybe the one they install for me got faults or is it because just not suitable for a e36 316 :(

Re: Recommeded workshop "siam" responsibility

Re: Recommeded workshop "siam" responsibility

Poor Jin Teck.. err.. OOii SSZone.. you no come out and console him ka???

Bro, can your ride still be driven? What other parts was damaged?

Re: Recommeded workshop "siam" responsibility

Sorry to hear that bro.....

I have been using IVAC (set at 19V) & Coil Booster before they launch it. No problem at all & been driving fine inclusive of 5 hot Track events at Sepang.

Hope you can settle your case.

Cheers

Re: Recommeded workshop "siam" responsibility

Thanks for all the feedback. As I say, maybe I got no luck and got a IVAC with faults or IVAC is not suitable for the e36. Ever since took out the IVAC, car got no problem for the past 3 months. Will go down this Sat to settle with them. Hope my luck is better this time :lol2:

Parts affected so far : fuel pump and 2 cam sensor.
