Require to dismantle power box?

Hi all,
Do I need to dismantle the power box if I send in my ride for gearbox reprogramming?
Will they open up the ECU box area, or just do it with the socket below the steering?

Ok, thanks.

I did not remove when send in for servicing. But this time round require reprogramming and others issue to settle. That's why I ask.

When I replaced the engine oil sensor, had a friendly reminder that my kellener module would void warranty.
Since then, my guideline is that if I need to claim warranty for a job or replacement, i will remove it, i guess this also make their job easier when they need to waive charges based on warranty claim. Normal oil change shd not need as u r not claiming warranty.
In fact, had it remove before a software reprogramming recently, my module still sitting at the workshop, probably put it back next week.

Where is your module placed? In the ECU compartment?

Just remove it - safest. Dunno what would pop up during programming.

It's hidden in the right rear section of the engine bay, but the 'new' cables that are plugged into afew of the sensors running around the engine bay will certainly be noticed by any mechanic worth his salt.
Frankly, if they want to be hard, cannot run, they can tell you something is installed, and the job that you want them to do, cannot be claimed under warranty.

Did you code anything else previously ? After the reprogram .... All parameters will be back to factory settings.

I don't think so.
Trying to claim whatever i can before the warranty expire...
