I like BBS RS 18 inch ,but not able to find for my E36 . Understand from US forums they bought the BBS RS rims ( for Japanese cars ) and redrilled to the 120 PCD ( from 114 ). Do they plug the mounting holes ,then redrill or just dril lnew ones ? Are the centre holes of Japanese rim same as those of continental ? Need sleeves ?

I am thinking of going this route . Can do ? What are the things to look out for --- Off set -- 35mm --to 50 mm ?? ( I mounted MV Spoke 72 ( ET 47mm front ,ET 50 Rear ) on a E36 before . Rim width ( 9 J ) ?

bro, not advised. really really don't advise modding the rims that way.

will compromise on the structural integrity of the rims. and if the rims buckle, then die smelly...

to give you an example - it's like getting stock rotors and drilling them to make them 'cross-drilled'.

strictly no go!

some of the guys the US are nuts. they are quite innovative, but there are limits to what they should be allowed to do.

case in point - some nutcase welded his e46 control arms to the chassis and went tracking with it. guess what happened? it's on you tube somewhere. siao gia's front axle completely wrecked - he had to pay for the rest of the trackday fees cos track had to be closed.
