Service Question: Upon hitting expiry of PML Warranty, still send in?

Hi guys,

Just wanna take a poll. Upon hitting expiry of PML warranty, do u all still send in for service at PML when service reminder comes?

If you never send to PML after expiry, which workshop you guys sent to for trusted servicing?

Hi Beem,

upon expiry just sent and get them to do a check on all parts ( no harm )
after warranty.....can send to any of the site sponsors workshop in the list....







* unless you stay opposite PML then sent back to PML for servicing ( nearer )

just make sure that PML really does the vehicle check when it's sent in. i had a big suprise when i checked my in car camera footage on what they "did" to my car in the 2 days my car was in their workshop.

I saw..... NOTHING!
car was left there for 30 hours before they did anything besides shifting the car around. I collected the car 2 hours after they did some work and was told to go back again another day to change something. So techincally I paid PML for work not done that day.

had to send in for another 1 1/2 days to rectify all the problems I had raised. Luckily the problems I raised were all rectified the 2nd time round else I was comptemplating to send a strong worded email to PML.

The footage also revealed some interesting happenings in the workshop during after hours.
On another occasion, the mechanic just drove my car through humps at 30+km/h during a test drive.

I taught a lot of ppl do that. I kenna horn for going slowly over humps.

Oh i see...maybe they go under the car do something then cant see thru the car camera huh...hee hee

Or maybe doing at the car backside so din capture on camera lor...

the car was just parked by the side. don't think PML's mechanics are so on to crawl under the car to work on it. also the problems i raised required the car to be put up on a lift for parts to be removed.

If its just oil change, you can pay a little but more for express service. 1 to 1.5hrs include car wash.

well, if there are workshops outside which can do the oil change at the same price or cheaper than the normal service, why pay more to PML? to be honest, there's no value add to bring back the car to AD for general servicing after warranty period is over.

I went to east coast centre as it's nearer for me.

I will avoid this service center. Or perhaps Alexandra road center even worse...

yes, Kampong Arang.

maybe i'm unlucky or the car I drive (E90) is just not worth their efforts. For anything (problems like oil leak, general service), need to make an appointment up to 2 weeks advance. My FIL just need to drive in (no appointment) to get his 7 series serviced.
