Should I cut my center pipe/midpipe?

Would you recommend to cut the midpipe or centerpipe of e60 exhaust system to enhance the sound pleasure? Currently with Remus exhaust :juggle:

hearsay and OEM exhaust that is cut will not pass LTA inspection.....

Bro,

Suggest u transfer your Remus to me before u cut. Spend do much to buy legal exos but cut mid pipe to make it illegal.. Mai la. Ha

Bros... if I am not wrong, jeep chee sells supersprint exhaust which includes mid portion and rear mufflers that is LTA compliant. Maybe u want to call them up to check...

Yes just cut. Its legal. Im running remus quad and from cat converter onwards its straight through. Visited LTA for my annual inspection no issues, stopped by LTA patrol bike also nothing.

whats that mean bro? did you shorten the length or? is it legal - legal or is it just that they didn't spot that alteration?
there are so many rules to follow, when i read online, whats legal in the foreign lands may not be such here, tried looking up the rules but a simple "do not modify" always pops up. That really leaves no room for imagination! How do we know whats ok when everything seems to start with -No.

I share the car with my wife and cant afford to do anything illegal, but at the same time, I'm also an enthusiasts and I want to push the car to what the rules would allow. There's got to be something! Cant be all cut and paste for everything right? or is it?

And also, why did they stop you?Id the ride too loud?

How many times has it happened bro? If they stop you and find out that everything is legit (maybe even after they ask you to go for inspection to check), is there a chance that the next week another officer will do then same thing and ask you to go for inspection again? Cant imagine the driving life if there's a chance this could happen every week or so.. over and over again!

Bro to make things simple, if you are looking for significant sound improvements on your current exhaust. Either operate your muffler(your remus catback) , still loud not enough operate your stock midpipe. As they cut open from the top there is no way LTA is going to prove that your exhaust has been touched unless they jack your car and remove your entire exhaust system which will never happen at all. Getting stopped for loud exhaust is a common thing, whether they can find fault with your exhaust is another. Plus you have a cert to prove which makes things much more difficult.
