Single-digit Vehicle Reg. No

Thinking of bidding the upcoming SKD series for a single-digit number "9". Care to share your experience or observation on one of the following items:

1. How much will a dealer purchase if someone is selling?
2. How much will a dealer bid from the main bidding exercise?
3. How much have you or someone you know paid from a dealer or bidded from the main bidding exercise?

Thanks for sharing.

Re: Single-digit Vehicle Reg. No

Put 99k.. Confirm plus chop get.. Never get hitmee will tok

Re: Single-digit Vehicle Reg. No

expect to pay high premium for single digit...anything ranging from at least $18K upwards to stand any chance. best to bid yourself as such much sought after nos will usually be resold at least $5-10K higher than bid price.....

Re: Single-digit Vehicle Reg. No

best check postfix alphabet for SKD9, if it is SKD9X, then you can try to bid for S$1001 and chances of getting quite high as alpha X is not popular. cheers.

Re: Single-digit Vehicle Reg. No

what about No. 1 ? is it for bid too or LTA / SPF reserve No 1 and may be No. 2 too ?

Re: Single-digit Vehicle Reg. No

Anyone can get no.1 just bid.
During financial crisis in 2008 my friend got it for $28000. Average i think $35000 to $40000.

Can bid D24 durian try $1001.

Re: Single-digit Vehicle Reg. No

for 10k, i guaranteed you will get your dream num.
you just need to TT the money into my account. i will take care of the rest for u

if cannot get your dream num means i run road liao. swee bo?

Re: Single-digit Vehicle Reg. No

I'm waiting til the SKY series before bidding... dunno how long i need to wait though..

anyway, dun think even if SKD9X $1001 can get.. I'm sure LTA will rather retire the number than giving it to the bidder at $1001.. same goes for most single digits or auspicious number.. so many series (SF?, SG?, SJ? series) have gone by, yet not much of those numbers on the road.. my guess is LTA will just retire the number if the bid is below their "expectations"..

single digit... never hear before under 10k.... yes... LTA rather throw the number away than giving it to a very low bidder... LTA got dignity also...

if u notice on the bidding slip... they also got say... LTA reserves NOT to give the number to highest bidder.. as for number 1... i heard dealers already putting 25-35k per bid... so u never put at least 40k... wont get one... and if u think u heng heng can get nice number cheap..sorry hor..u should see all the failed bids... there are tons and tons of dealers bidding at least 50 numbers at one go.... not only u think u sibei heng... this is not 4d / toto... this is money making business everyone also want nice number...

seriously... i recommended bidding 20k

Post fix is SKD9A. But, even if SKD9X...it will definitely be bidded in the 5 digit figures by the dealers...there is no such thing as getting lucky because nobody bidded...dealers will always bid...it's a business liao...

Anyone interested in my number:

Re: Single-digit Vehicle Reg. No

I believe Bidding is based on highest bidder above 1k. so if you bid 1001 and no one bid higher u get the number. there isnt any reserve price. Also number unlike COE u cannot get back anything so if dealer bid 30k and cannot sell then lose 30k.
