Assuming that's the cabin filters your referring to, normally every 15000 MILES or 24000kms, personally don't buy the cheap China ones and they do last a long time.
The F10 has 2 filters in a pack and once every couple of months I just pull them out give them a vacuum on both sides and rotate them I.e. the front one now becomes the back one. Just to see if there's any effect or difference.
