Stick with stock or some other tires?

Erm, my 1.5 year e46 FL318i already ran 58,000km. Tires seems to be almost botak. Time to change soon. Just wondering if i should change back to the same type of tires, or are there any other better recommandations? I am on the stock 16" Bridgestone Turanza ER300. Any help will be appreciated:)

Re: Stick with stock or some other tires?

wow 58k on a set of tires is damned good, you must have been really gentle. It really depends on what your need is, performance or comfort biased tires, and of course the dollar and cent issue.

I just got a set of bridgestone S03s (225/50/16) onto my 320, and they cost $240 per tube fitted at TS autoaccessories in sembawang. They are kind of performance tires, reasonably quiet, but I don't think you will get 58k km on it. The last set got me 30ish k km with rotation at every 10k. The goodyear F1 should be cheaper, while michelin PS2 will probably be closer to $300.

The OEM tires that you have are more comfort biased, but if you are happy with the performance, they should be cheaper.

Hi !

Forget about PS2, you cannot get this szie (225/50/16).
I am not sure about Goodyear F1.

As for SO3, good performance tyres but very uncomfortable because tyre side wall very hard.

If you want comfort and slight performance you can consider Micheline Preceda :)
But these tyres are made in Thailand :(

Hope this help :)

Hi !

Please check whether Goodyear F1 (Made in Germany) has your tyre size for 16". There are many members in this forum using this tyres for their 17", 18" and 19".

If F1 don't have the size then you consider Micheline Preceda because Micheline is more expensive as compare to F1 :(

Sorry ! I don't have the price for 16" :(

Please call South East Tyres, Ray-S, Hurry and Poh Heng to find out :)

See you around :)
