If you are a member or a reader of these forums, 
good clean fun. For a second there, when I WOT'ed up on that empty stretch of road, I thought I would have left that pesky 1er that had been tailing me ever so patiently earlier, sniffing at my exhaust fumes.
Then, to my pleasant surprise, there was an almighty roar as the 1er did a BOV him/herself (it was dark, I saw nothing but the headlights rapidly closing in my rear view mirror) and caught up in a blink. Lucky I flipped to Sports mode & engaged the DS lever, before planting my foot firmly into the accelerator pedal, and kept ahead, until we reached the T junction and went our separate ways.
And, as he turned left after I'd made my right turn at the T, I realised that "pesky 1er" had flared fenders and 4 tail pipes for an exhaust. Damn, the 1M is fast
