Money is exceptional as its sensitive. Long time frens does not mean you are obligated to lend him money. Similarly if you don't lend him money and he ends that long time friendship, then you didn't lose anything, he did.

I did lend some but found out that when he has the money, he didn't return n instead went to diao hue. So I rejected n insisted that he pays me what he borrowed. Now he ended up with a prc duuno do wat in china.

Money this type of thing really depends on situation and how well you know or trust your friend lah. Like I said, u know for XX years does not mean he is the "I will die for you brother!" type.

I knew Kenntona for barely 2 years, didn't really know him that well but somehow during my difficult time many years back, Kenntona and old forummer OLL were the 1st to reach out to me, then Jack Hartini. All no questions asked, no expectations and probably they were prepared to lose the loan to me. I had about 15 very "close friends" then, all the supposedly "One die all die" type of bros, but surprisingly, the 3 who stepped out weren't really that close to me...hahaha

Must be because they are homo and I damn hamsum

But my point is.. these are the real Bros to me and I will stand by them
