Uncomfortable Gear Change on F30?

I notice the gear change in 3 series seems v uncomfortable. I called BMW n they said its common. Have to wait 2 wks to send the car in. Is it supposed to b like this? Thanks.

Sports mode? Sports Plus? use paddle shift...

for 8speeds while u are driving slowly..eg during heavy traffic you will feel the gear swift very jerky.
is normal. try to get use to the gear ratio lor.

It is normal if:
After moving off, the jerk during that upshift.

This is because of stupid greenies, resulted in BMW nowadays moving off from gear 1.

It is normal if:
After moving off, the jerk during that upshift.

This is because of stupid greenies, resulted in BMW nowadays moving off from gear 1.

Why moving off in 1st gear is greener ?

I have sat in 328 before, quite smooth leh.

When is the jerk?

Is it during the upshift after moving off? If yes, it is N O R M A L.

Blame the greenies.

Why moving off in 1st gear is greener ?

Because 2nd gear is "bigger" than 1st gear. Need to step harder for the car to move off.

BMW is about the drive feel at the expense of comfort but not to the extend of unbearable la
Lexus is comfort biased while bmw is more about driving dynamics
