From Wiki, I summarize for Chocs: O negative = universal donor. Snce Bro jamesyeow's fren is B -ve, she will need either B- blood or O- blood. + type blood no can do.

The way to think about this is as follows:

Basic blood types are O, A, B and AB - let's represent these as big tennis balls of different colors.

On top of the O, A, B and AB, you can also have smaller tags that stick on the tennis balls - these smaller tags are the Rhesus + or if you don't have a tag, it's Rhesus -ve.

So, for example, if we represent B type blood as a blue tennis ball, you could have a blue tennis ball with no tag = B negative, or a blue tennis ball with a tag stuck to it = B positive
