ok. i found a few from internet such as http://www.navvideo.com/navvideo-models-gnetbmw7.asp . however, it look terribly complicated, even if i manage to order it, does anyone know any workshop competent enough to fix this gadget into the E65 7 series OB idrive?

bro, video is not the problem , audio is bc RF is very bad. One feasible option is to use amp and pre-amp.. as for video, try this

thanks diablo. just to clarify - r u saying audio using radio-frequency to transmit is very bad. i thought these 'interface' have their own audio interface with the existing sound system? why need RF?

do u know of which workshop is able to handle installation in singapore?

another option for audio input, you can get the aux input option from pml.

no aux input for 7 the last time i checked....the interface are only for audio..there is only one US based company that modifies your HU for the audio but u need to send certain components to them...RF is Very bad.

Yes, RF is bad for my BMW too. On my other car, my FM transmitter sends clear sound. On my BMW, there is some whining background sound that is proportional to my acceleration (dun ask me why).

I tested with turning off the HU radio and the sound goes away immediately.... Sigh! Now I am exploring other mods to link up to my HU directly.

Yes, RF is bad for my BMW too. On my other car, my FM transmitter sends clear sound. On my BMW, there is some whining background sound that is proportional to my acceleration (dun ask me why).

this whining sound is easily fix. the wires r running interference. i had that too when i installed my DVD player. went back they change the wires, taped up some loose end...n gone in 10 mins.

hi all. after searching for several weeks, i still cant find any shop in singapore willing to mod video interface for e65 FL. i m going to PML soon for the original interface if still no leads soon.

haha i have that noise too for my ipod connection lol i have no clue how to fix it because i set it up myself haha
