Vorsteiner Sedan Hood Saga Part 2

Just an update from my last post about my Vorsteiner bonnet.

I wasn't happy with the fitment of the Vorsteiner VRS sedan bonnet and thanks to Barry, I managed to get a new one sent to me F.O.C. The old one has been sold to Eddie of Malaysia.

Anyway, this time round, the fitment is much better. Though not perfect, I can at least live with this one.

So here goes another round of pics...

For you E90 owners, I saw another car with a Kerscher kit with 19" Schmit wheels. It was real nice. Just wanna share these pics...

Thanks guys. It's good now. Finally. Black Stealth, you were lucky to get the improved version. How's your little red riding CF hood looking?

And now, the modding goes on...

yo adam,

by the way, you said the fitment not perfect? which part of it is not aligned? mine is at the driver side but only very slight maybe 2mm up only. hardly noticable.

Why no sticker?

I am not sure if my hood is ready or not. Am not in town :(

Re: Vorsteiner Sedan Hood Saga Part 2

very nicely fitted cbs.. i like the color of your car too :) fitment looks 10x better than the previous hood.

eddie:

don't worry, your hood, although misaligned, would still be bloody chio.

Can tell from the pictures that your new hood fits like a glove now. Very nice indeed.

Re: Vorsteiner Sedan Hood Saga Part 2

Des,

it doesn't sit flat like the original hood. If you look carefully there is still slight buldging. Mine is pretty uniform across the length of the hood. But it's so little that you would think that's how the original hood would sit anyway.

And yes, the driver's side seems to buldge a little more than the passenger side.

There is a sticker, but Barry has been too busy to pass it to me. Mike said it should have gone in before the clearcoat so that it can be sealed inside. But my car was already in the shop for 4 days (just for a bonnet) and can't wait anymore. Ah well... I'm used the the stickerless look anyway. When Barry passes me the sticker, I'll just put it on for fun to see but it will never be permanent.

adam, glad it all worked out this time! Looks good! You really got the patience and time man.

that E90 really looks good with the right kit - makes it look bulky and thick all the way.
