What would you choose?

My beloved E39 528i (1997) which is going on 9 years now has developed engine trouble for the third time this year, prior to this, she was running so smoothly... i have already spent $14K in repairs and overhauls and now I have to spend another $4K. So the missus and I decided that it was time for a newer car...

Have got a few options open to me chosen based on availability and price.

1. E39 525i M sport 2001.
2. E60 525i M sport 2005.
3. E65 745iL 2002.

Which would you choose?

Any owners of an E60/E65 out there? What is the general feedback on the E60/E65? Need some advice before I make my decision next week.

Has to be done soon as my folks are visiting at the end of the week and all this has to be arranged.

I am in australia. Any help would be appreciated.

i'll rule out option 1.

go for two and three since u can afford it. personally, i'll go for two since the car is still quite new. but if u want comfort and space, i think 3 would be ok as well.

ask saifywaify for more info on the 745Li.

We have test driven so many cars to date and still keep coming back to a BMW, just what we are more comfortable with, yet, lexus finance is very competitive at the moment... hmmm...

well the final list reads something like this....

1. E60 2005 525i M sport. Silver black leather. Full option including sat nav and TV, mp3 player, bluetooth.
2. E60 2006 525i M sport. Silver black leather. Full option including sat nav and TV, mp3 player, bluetooth.
3. E60 2005 530i M sport Wagon. Mystix Blue. Full option including sat nav and TV, mp3 player, bluetooth.
4. 2006 X3 3.0 Diesel sports pack. LeMans Blue, black leather.
5. 2006 X5 3.0 Diesel sports pack. Estoril Blue (individual colour) 20" rims, black leather.
6. 2006 X5 3.0 Diesel sports pack. Silver, black leather, sports pack, 19" rims, full option including sat nav and TV, mp3 player, bluetooth.

Drove the 4.6is x5, its a blast to drive, but I dunno if I want to drive one everyday....
