What's normal oil change interval for F07 engine?

Hi,

Just serviced car for less than 3 months, and probably travelled less than 5k km. Now idrive is saying due for servicing in 2k km. Is this normal? What is the usual mileage interval for engine oil change?

The previous service they did not reset the indicator?

Haha.. I'm indeed quite heavy on the pedal. But car is mostly driven by wife.. Last service with PML and they did have it resetted. So not sure if it is normal. If so, BMW is harder to maintain than Merc..

Usually its between 12-15k on the idrive.

But an OCI at 7-8k is fine ... depending on what EO you are on.

I guess PML has used synthetic oil in the last servicing... Only thing added myself is the OWS Engine Oil additive which is meant to protect the engine... would the OWS additive has caused the sensor to indicate earlier oil change?

Doubt it ...

But the cbs data could be changed though (not reset) ... if you want to test if the countdown is stable I could make some changes and see what happens.
