When is PML Parts Discount typically held?

Hi everyone,

I am interested in fixing the E90 Bluetooth function into my ride, and reading through some of posts on bluetooth, references to 20% on parts were made.

It seemed that PML occasionally provide 20% discount on the parts. Thus it would also be the best time to fix the bluetooth (unless retrofit does not get included in these kinds of discount).

So I would like to find out when does this discount period typically held?

I have called up the parts department at Alexendra but they have no idea.

So turning to you guys.

Appreciate the help.

As long as you're a PML customer, they'll have you in their database (tie to your car registration) and the discount will be given.

Hi ecoquest,

Thanks for the response.

I've got a quote from them via fax and it only indicated 10%. Do you believe that this is the best that I'm going to get? Or must I personally appear in front of them to get 20% ?

Re: When is PML Parts Discount typically held?

What parts are you planning to get?

Most of the forummers here get our parts from Eng Soon as it's usually cheaper. It's only for hard to find items that we turn to PML.

I think I only got 10% discount the last time I got some exhaust tips from them too.... didn't remember it being 20%.

Re: When is PML Parts Discount typically held?

I am planning to have PML install the Handsfree Bluetooth retrofit kit.

From another post, a fellow forumer was mentioning about 20% discount for parts that typically happens during May / June period.

But checking with PML has yielded no result. Any idea?

Re: When is PML Parts Discount typically held?

for pml customers its a straight off 10% before GST (7%). They usually have it once a year. But I checked with parts center sometime back and they said non for this yr based on their calender. Not sure if it is a tactic to make me commit

Re: When is PML Parts Discount typically held?

Seriously, maybe this is not "rite" but if you really very good with your SE or anyone got excellent SE, just maybe, lah, they can get a better discount?

Imagine, lah... staff got all year discount (but again - not sure what is PML's rule? ) Can try try this route or not?

Provided there is such thing as staff discount and if it is much cheaper.. diy or go outside to fix. For the staff SE to buy a bluetooth.. something like that lah..

They give out 20% discount vouchers during the BMW Expo week but not sure whether it is a yearly affair.

Re: When is PML Parts Discount typically held?

Just received PML newsletter today. They having some Principle of Joy promo from end May to mid June, and supposed to have good discounts given on spares etc. Dunno if this discount applies to your BT retrofit though.

I've checked some time ago with them, it costs about 2k to fit BT on my E60. Didn't do it eventually, too ex imho.

Re: When is PML Parts Discount typically held?

they will give discount as and when they like...

Re: When is PML Parts Discount typically held?

Thanks for all the replies.

Will definitely be looking out for the Principle of Joy promo.

I also think that the BT Retrofit is ex, but any other recommendation? I prefer something that can be controlled from the Steering wheel and I believe that Parrot BT has wiring harness that does that. Not sure whether is there anyone with any experience with it?

A month back I was behind a TP, and he behind a S-Class. Saw him pull the S-Class driver over as he lifts up his handset. Wouldn't want to ever get into that situation!
