hey, does anyone know any gd place to repair acs type IV rims?
i have 2 scuff marks, on 2 rims. hee..

is there any where i can repair the rims n roughly how much?

Hello,

Quite a number do go down to Angie at Yew Lip to repair the rims. The address is located in the workshop page. Do note that if the scuff marks are at the area where its is chrome, she can't help. However, if ur rims are silver in colour, she may have the paint to match it. Drop by and ask Angie to survey the damage so she can advise u.

i suppose you ACS rim is damaged at the polished lip part... if so.. theres nothing much u can do... u can re-do the whole lip as in putting back pieces of steel onto the lip.. but i am not sure where to do it in singapore

if the damaged part is the painted part...go to most paintshop they can do it

if the damaged is at polished lip... some shops will be able to repair e.g : south east tire but what most of them did is actually cut a thin layer of the polished part so when its done it looks different from new one and of course the finish wont be as shiny and as smooth (not recommended to do this)

i think the original ACS rim is 3 piece.. if u die die really want to repair.. maybe u can order just 1 piece of the rim directly from ACS

Sorry to OT but do we need to rebalance the wheel after we get the rim fixed? I had mine done at Angie a while back but never bothered to rebalance it.

you dont need to rebalance the rim... but anyway.. no harm doing it
