Hi Jacky,
actually tyres very subjective as different owner will have a very different view........plus your budget as well, for me don't save on tyres as they are the only one that hold us plus our family on the road....
try to search under the tyres section to see the comments and then see what tyres really suits you and your family best best best.........

OT abit.. i was looking at Tire Rack USA. Their price is like 38% less than SG for latest Michelin Super Sports Problem is that they only ship tires without box packaging.. i.e tires tied together with threads exposed. You risk damage with international shipping.

Wow! U sent via VPOST exUSA? how much is the shipping fee? I was contemplating this but didn't dare cos thought VPOST only accepts packaged items. Can u share the shipping details & how much to get tires installed here? Thanks!

Tirerack offers shipment to you. My friend bought from them before. Very reliable. Good quality too. I have ever checked with them. Shipment per set of tyres about USD300. You can save on that if group buy. It will be a good option if you want to buy rare tyre sizes or brands that are bit available in SG.

Per set of tires meaning 4pcs? That's cheap shipping to SG. I asked their sales
rep but he replied no packaging wor.

Other options are Euro-Asia (look for Darren a very nice chap) at Toh Guan (the building along PIE with V-Kool, Cool-N-Lite and some PIs at the ground level) corner shop at level 4 or 5 can't remember. There is only 1 very big (in fact 2) units with piles of used tyres and sports rims. They also do trade in.
My regular tyre shop is 'The Tyre House' at Tyrwhitt Road just beside Singapore Casket. Louis is the boss and a very patient and knowledgeable guy who knows almost everything about lifting, lowering, suspension, shaft, rims, tyres etc.... he will ask you sit inside his office and he will explain in details what are the pros and cons of your needs etc... maciam attending a lecture by a lecturer but very honest chap too. No hard selling too... thats what I like. He does lots of SUvs and Jeeps for Offroading as well as racing cars like Subarus and Hondas... I was impressed that he also knows BMWs well despite of its sensitivity and complexity! I changed my 1st set of tyres with him just hours after I collected my car, he knows the offset, width, set-up of BMWs and also help me to adjust the OBC etc..
I used to go to Poh Heng tyre at AMK Ave 10 (Justin) years back. They should be one of the most famous tyre/rim shops around that offer one of the cheapest price for both new and used tyres/ replica rims. However, I heard rumours that they got complaints recently that service not as good (maybe business too good) and they mix and match new with used tyres (maybe too many trade in used tyres to get rid) etc... Dunno how true but so far I have got no problem with them. Dont mark my words, I just share honestly what I know as it may not be true afterall ... I don't want to be flamed after that ... just sharing honest opinions but also need to be careful in forum nowadays...
