If that happen in the morning or rainny day when ur ride is not warm up yet, it is normal. But do check on ur engine oil lever for a period, for safety.
ozipo... whitish smoke from the exhaust is an indication of oil entering the combustion chamber.. I experience it myself as I use a fairly low SAE oil 10-30W. Good thing though about this oil is that it doesn't require the engine to warm up before the engine is responsive. =)
saw some whitish smoke again
and when I checked my oil level
it has dropped and this is after
2000km
Looks like I need to go back to
workshop to trouble shoot
bro its probably your valve seals leaking.. oil entering exhaust leading to white smoke.
replacement of the valve seals would solve it.
buy parts from eng soon about $50+.
valve seals x 016 pieces
valve seal gasket(the rubber sealing)
labor for this quite expensive though, about $300-700 depending on where u go.
cheers n enjoy the drive

It happened to me awhile ago as well when my 320i was giving me engine oil problems. Was topping up oil every week!!! After my full overhaul no more problem liao. But it cost me a bomb. Wats gg on is the oil inside your engine is burning, u can check tat at your exhaust to see any liquid stains. If it continues, go jb do, heard from a friend he did it at $5k ringgit. I did in sg at $4k+. Really not worth it. Try changing engine oils to 5/10w-40.
