windscreen Chipped

Jialat.....was driving up to KL today...on the North-South Highway....and out of F&$#ing nowhere, i heard this loud sound...like a stone hitting my windscreen......and when i stopped at the REST STOP...checked and confirm...F$%#ing stone hit my windscreen....Jialat the winscreen in chipped...the size is approx 2mm, its circular. Anyone knows/has experience is getting this repaired? If possible i am keen in getting it repaired rather than just replacing the Windscreen. I am planning to pay a Visit to this Shop referred by my friend in KL called Dr. Cermin (cermin in malay means Glass).

if the chipped is really jialat i will change the whole windscreen for peace of mind
it's free which is covered under insurance and will not affect NCD nor premium increase in next renewal

the only damage is downtime and of tinting though

agreed bro....the chip is not deep, and also if replacing the windscreen, just worried about the workmanship......

just had mine windscreen replaced after same incident, crack size

I had mine replaced with PML under their insurance, dont need to shell out any money from my pocket. The tinting is under insurance as well! ***phew***
Anyway, similar to yours ( had a crack of 1cm initially) I had mine few months ago and didnt get it replaced until the crack becomes almost a forearms length due to the heat and high speed driving returning to S'pore!
If your car is insured under MSIG comprehensive you will be fine. Better have PML replace it for you, at least you can go back and get it rectified should there be any issues after that, which I hope not as no one likes to go back again.

much appreciated. I am still in KL....returning on to S'pore this Thursday...so will pay a visit to Glass Fix, and get their advise...as much as possible would prefer to get it fixed rather than replaced....provide safety is not compromised....

Bro, weather is wet leh,

Morning was good....afternoon rained for a bit...and now its just nice....cloudy....Was in IPOH over the weekend....weather was great.....with Occasional rain.....u planning a trip to KL? Traffic is a bit heavy both way to KL and also to IPOH.

YEs Bro,

Agreed....When i drove up on Friday...it was raining all the way....and traffic very heavy leh.....touch 110km/h.....very happy already.... could not enjoy the drive......
Maybe Malacca would be good.......
