didn't buy that piece in the end because got cold feet when i realised it was one of the first 1000 units with possible transmission issues...

335 is a no-no also. :stop!:

Get GTR in that case:evillook:

ABD,

why u say until like that? don't scare me lei.... why no-no for 335 cab?

and everyone's telling me what not to buy, but no one has made any recommendations lei....

i need a fast 2 door with a boot and some nominal back seats. budget ard 200k region. preferably used as we won't keep this for >2 years so don't wanna take the first owner hit in depreciation.

cheers

p.s i too long never post is it? i've never seen so many replies in one day to my threads before..... if only my "for sale" threads were like that. haha

Re: Wtb: R35 Gtr

if i will to chose......i chose the 335 cabrio, easier to sell too.

gtr, too high maintenance and 335 is a more comfy car to drive.

Louis,

Get a 993 C2S. Lovely air cooled engine. Lower than 200k. 2 doors with a bonnet (not boot lol) and has nominal back seats.

But 335 Cab easier to make out at the back seats than the 993 though

oh dear.... why not??

oh didn't know you need nominal backseats.. for what ah? was thinking still young so might as well get something less practical, more wild, rather than big heavy powerful cars - esp since the Z4 can already function as a daily. Big and heavy can wait till later on in life :D Exige or Exige S I was thinking, but then there are no backseats. Same for Cayman S... those things are such well balanced cars that are comfortable on the streets and highways yet very capable on track.

But if you really need those little backseats I guess GTR is it. Next trackday you can use it to avenge the Z4...exact revenge upon Ryan heahha..
When you climb into a newish GTR, it's not a new-car fragrance you smell.. it's the smell of victory hahahah.

Um, but he just sold off a 996 leh....

What about that used import E92 M3? Asking 220+ I think.

Also several Maserati Gransports hovering around that price.

haha, what was ryan's time again? beating his time with a GTR is a hollow victory... no no, what i need is a LS7 for my Z4, but that's another topic altogether.

want my 4200gt?

hi RB, thanks but i'm not really into the 4200gt's look.. . good luck for your sale though!

Re: Wtb: R35 Gtr

Hi Louis,

Most of the concerns regarding transmissions are unfounded and based on more hearsay than anything else. I can help you track the history of a given GTR if you are interested. There are several available for sale on sgcarmart.

PM me if you want to carry on this conversation over email - faster and nicer.

I agree that the 335 is a great car, but the GTR is leagues and miles ahead in all aspects. Unmodded or modded. The comfort factor - if that's a concern - is only slightly different. The GTR is my DD and on comfort mode it rides pretty easy. Sport mode is FIRM but that's what you want on the track. Apart from that - you get everything a GT should have including two usable back seats. I have had 4 people in the car more times than I can think of. And not all midgets mind you.

Your choice. Good luck with the purchase.
