Selling a piece of dry carbon fibre vacuumed plastic (DCFVP) Vorsteiner VRS Race Hood for E46 SEDANS.

Reason for selling: I am getting a new piece.

Fitment is not very good. It buldges up at the sides. However, the edges where the bonnet meets the bumper and windscreen is fine. It is currently painted Tourmaline Violet with the CF vents unpainted. Painting and installation costs around $350 at Mike's (Sin Wee Chuan).

You cannot strip off the paint to reveal the CF underneath as there is already a layer of primer. You can only paint it to the colour of your car. However, the CF weave of the vents will still be visible.

If you're not fussy about fitment, this is your chance to own one for CHEAP. I paid over $2500 WITHOUT painting/installation fees.

Selling at $700. NO BARGAINING PLEASE.

*EDIT* I have received higher offers than my posted selling price, hence it will be an auction from now on.

$1800 discount for a little fitment issue.....STEAM ah! Those hardcore guys wouldnt careless....

Would be good if its still in CF print throughout. Anyway, this is for FL or pre-FL e46 sedans or both?

It's for guys who don't mind it not fitting perfectly. As you can see from the pictures, from most angles, it still looks good!

My extreme loss is your extreme gain...

Think about it:
1) you save MORE than $1800 over a new one
2) it's literally NEW
3) no waiting time (I had to wait for MONTHS)
4) It's already primed, so paint/installation is probably gonna be much cheaper

M3 hump and Cf vents = Priceless Aggressive Cosmetics

Fitment out....minor issue la, you didnt even pay 1k for it. Some taiwan made CF hood over 1K already had fitment issues.. Honda Jazz CF hood also not so cheap. The E36 CF M3 look mirrors already more expensive than this plus hardly noticable...but this???? Ok i beaten the horse to death. :p

If only you confirmed a liiiiiitle bit sooner before the offers came. Cos you were the 1st one to respond.

Anyway, $800 is still cheap lah. I will keep updating the bids and you can see if you're still interested by next Tuesday. Or you can bid $810 now? Haha...

I don't think it will go up by a lot anyway...

I do feel kinda bad for doing this. But I think anyone would want to maximise a sale given the opportunity.

How it became an auction was like this:

Potential buyer 1: I would like to view you bonnet tonite.
Me: Sure. Please come to ... at 9pm tonite.

Potential buyer 2: I wanna buy your bonnet. Can confirm now?
Me: Ok, let me inform someone who is coming tonite to view not to come first before I confirm with you.

Me to Potential buyer 1: Hi, someone is coming to buy my bonnet now, so please don't come for the viewing tonight.

Potential buyer 1 to me: I offer you $750 to buy your bonnet now.

Me to potential buyer 1: Erm, ok, let me tell the other buyer 1st.

Me to Potential buyer 2: Sorry, but the other guy just offered me $750 for the bonnet and he will take it.

Potential buyer 2 to me: I will pay $800.

So I SMS'd both and said: Guys, it will be an auction from now now and bids close next Tuesday.

In any case, if at the end of the day, all the deals and promises to buy fall through (as they always do), I will still sell it at $700.

If nobody wants it, I'll make it into a coffee table, haha...
