Get ready for a game-changer in September 2023 – the 2024 MINI Countryman is on the horizon. MINI’s marketing team captured this beauty cruising the Scottish Highlands, conquering tough terrains and gracefully winding roads. The new Countryman shines against the stunning backdrop of Loch Lomond, the UK’s biggest lake.
The 2024 Countryman draws inspiration from the MINI Aceman Concept and the recent MINI Cooper reveal. Clear family resemblance, from headlights to wheels. It’s bulkier and taller, boasting a more robust design than the previous model. Mechanically linked to the BMW X1, the 2024 MINI Countryman measures 4429 mm (174.3 in) long and 1613 mm (63.5 in) tall, with a 2670 mm (105.1 in) wheelbase. Expect more space inside is smaller than the X1 but roomier than its predecessor.
Choose between combustion engines or all-electric power. The electric options, Countryman E and Countryman SE ALL4, offer 188 hp (140 kW) and 268 hp (200 kW), respectively, leveraging a 64-kWh battery pack. Range-wise, the two-wheel-drive model reaches 440 km (273 miles) in WLTP cycle, dropping to 420 km (261 miles) for the high-power version.
MINI’s electric John Cooper Works models are in the pipeline. Expect BMW’s four-cylinder engines, like the 312 hp B48, on the traditional side. The ICE Countryman will hit the US market by mid-2024.
