BMW made sure to also showcase an entirely different design direction when it comes to manufacturing vehicles at the Paris Motor Show. This came in the form of the world premiere of the MINI Scooter E. This new scooter from the BMW Group is powered by a single electric motor is integrated into the rear wheel area. Under the seat, a compact lithium-ion battery that can be charged from any standard A/C power outlet is stored. The driving autonomy is approximately 50 miles. BMW design chief Adrian van Hooydonk refers to this design as a new direction to urban mobility — combining driving pleasure with sustainable technology.
