The German publication ‘Focus Online‘ does a survey once per year and gives its readers tips on which cars are the best investment, meaning that their value won’t fall drastically once they decide to sell. These ‘Residual Value Giant’ awards give some good predictions, and MINI cars always rank high. This year, they got awards in two categories and had a high ranking in the others.
MINI vehicles won in these two categories:
- Compact Car – the MINI One 3 door
- Mini SUV – MINI One D Countryman
Besides winning these two awards, there were some other significant results, such as the MINI Cooper Convertible getting the second place and the MINI One Convertible getting the third place.
The residual value is a factor that most of the buyers consider when deciding on a new car. If its value is going to drop significantly in the following few years, the car might not be worth its price.
For everyone who was thinking about getting a MINI, this is another plus factor. The British vehicles certainly don’t have a direct competition because of their unique design, so it makes sense that the prices don’t drop a lot.
