[Spy Photos] New BMW Z4 Roadster Testing Snapshots

The current BMW Z4 is already showing signs of old age but at the same time, it is undoubtedly still one of the most beautiful BMW cars on the road. As pretty as it looks, a replacement is definitely due. Here are some snapshots of the new BMW Z4 Roadster testing.

In these photos, the prototype seem to be upcoming BMW Z4 M40i or the Z4 xDrive30i with an M Sport package. It is likely the former, rather than the latter because of the large wheels, aggressive front air intakes and rectangular exhausts that make it seem like the more powerful, six-cylinder model.

Some interesting design cues we can pick up on from this prototype are as follows: the kidney grilles are narrow but wide like the BMW 507’s, a small built-in decklid spoiler at the back, a large Air Breather on the side which seems to be incorporated into the body lines. All of these elements make the front and rear ends look aggressive.
