BMW i8 with 400 HP by BR-Performance

Being one of the most desirable cars these days, it’s no wonder BMW i8 is a subject of more and more tuning projects. This time, the guys from BR-Performance got their hands on it. The Belgian tuner can pimp your i8 in around 4 hours.  achieve various power levels.

On the video above, published by BR-Performance, you can see the BMW i8 tuned to the ‘safe’ level. It produces 400 HP and 650 Nm of torque in total, upgrading from standard 362 HP and 570 Nm of torque.

It gets more impressive if you know that they are the first tuning company that managed to do this with an i8. They have ‘cracked the system’, pointing out that the car uses the same DME as the 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine used on some other BMW and MINI models.

Now the guys are stating that it’s possible to make the i8 even more powerful, but it’s somewhat risky. For now, the Stage 1 upgrade by BR-Performance is not that expensive – it can be yours for 890 Euros.
