BMW M5 CS dubbed as BMW’s Most Powerful Car

With its overall brilliance, the BMW M5 CS presents as one of the most loved cars driven by enthusiasts. It’s got the performance and technical specs that are hard to match. Actually, it might only be outranked by powerful cars like the E46 M3 CSL, E28 M5, or BMW M1.

Though this may sound a bit exaggerated, the BMW M5 CS deserves more than just good words. And in this video review, we get to see the BMW M5 CS in action, including an in-depth review of its performance.

According to this guy from BMW BLOG, the M5 CS may just pass as one of the Bavarians fastest cars he had ever driven. It incredibly swifts away in just seconds in its straight-line speed test. Sprinting 60mph in just 2.81 seconds is just insane and impressive. Although it was driven with a one-foot rollout on the Racebox, that setup seems pretty normal to use in test reviews, including with Car and Driver. Meanwhile, there’s Joe Achilles bearing the fastest acceleration time recorded on YouTube, including an incredible 10.8-sec second quarter-mile time.

M5 CS is more than just the smooth speed, as highlighted above. Carrying the CS badge, the M5 Competition’s dampers are replaced by those found in the M8 Gran Coupe. This gives the vehicle’s suspension a more robust setup. In addition, the camber was changed in the front, which helped the body stay flat through turns. Other changes include fitting it with stiffer ball joints and replacing the standard anti-roll bar with a more rigid one. It also gets a carbon fibre hood, roof, and less sound-deadening. Overall, the architecture and technical tweaks create an incredible and unparalleled driving experience with the M5 CS.
