Porsche beat Mini at Road Atlanta. This was quite expected because of the fact that Porsche 911 has sportscar genes, and the Mini Cooper, well it’s a cute little car with BMW technology in it.
Because this race was organized by Mini, the race track was said to be modified in order to maximize the potential of the Mini and suppress the speed power of the Porsche. This kind of minimized the difference between the two cars. But from the beginning, it was still quite obvious that Porsche 911 would take the advantage. As expected, Mini lost. But Mini lost by just 2 seconds.
With this loss, let’s see how Mini’s CEO Jim McDowell will respond to the Hyundai challenge that will take place next month.
