[Video] BMW M2 CS race against Cayman GT4 and Exige 410 Sport

The M2 CS was easily expected to become the next top car of its segment during its first announcement. Covering the specs of the M2 Competition on paper with more improvements. At that time, Cayman received a tweak on its engine, releasing into the world its first GT4 version. Thus, attracting attention from BMW M people. The video below still clearly shows the competition between the two cars.

On their usual Track Battles on the Hockenheim-GP track, the guys from Sport Auto went for some really fast Coupe models, which can also perform legitimately on track. Others may agree that they are for the tracks alone but that’s a different story altogether. So, what we have here is a comparison video between the M2 CS, Porsche Cayman GT4 and Lotus Exige 410 Sport.

Among the three, the Lotus appears to be the most exotic, as you seldom see them on the road these days. While the Exige 410 Sport is pretty much designed and more focused for track use. According to Lotus, it’s 80% for track and 20% for the road, and it is quite obvious.

You can find a Toyota-sourced 3.6-litre V6 under the hood tuned to make 410 HP, which is more than enough for its weight. Tipping the scale at 1,108 kilos – a really notable power to weight ratio in comparison to the other two cars.

Likewise, the BMW M2 CS also gets a 450 HP at its disposal, only it is 400 kilos heavier. Meanwhile, the Porsche Cayman GT4 delivers a 420 HP from its 4-litre naturally aspirated flat six engine partnered with a weight of 1,420 kilos. Still considerably lighter than the BMW.
