There’s no stopping the Bavarians when it comes to new releases. After the successful wave of the BMW M2 CS, they strengthened their purist car lineup with the BMW M5 CS. In fact, when it was first introduced, its power made it into the headlines. It is the most powerful car BMW has ever made, pumping out 627 horsepower. And with its lightweight design, it bears the best power-to-weight ratio of any Bimmer ever made. So the BMW M5 CS makes the fastest car in BMW history, right?
For Joe Achilles, it definitely is the fastest car he ever tested. Using a Racebox, he recorded an official, GPS-confirmed 0-60 mph time. While according to BMW, the M5 CS is capable of hitting 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.0 seconds. But, what Achilles got is a more astonishing result – hitting the mark in just 2.75 seconds. This goes beyond the Audi R8 V10 Performance, a McLaren 570S, and a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, considering it’s also a four-door, four seats, a big trunk type of car.
Here’s more: the BMW M5 CS is more than just straight-line speed. It comes wrapped in carbon fibre, suited with front and back bucket seats, matched with a complete revision of its steering and suspension tuning, making it the absolute best driving big Bimmer in the market today. As noted by Achilles, this purist car imposes not only more composure and athleticism than any other M5 but also just as comfortable as the standard M5.
Anybody who sees the BMW M5 CS surely gets excited to get their hands on it and take it for a spin. We can’t deny that after the M2 CS, the Bavarians really earned so much respect back from enthusiasts
