The new MINI Cooper SE is in all time high when you look at the sales numbers. With thousands of pre-orders placed from the moment it was fully unveiled, its deliveries, this year, kicked off in full. Sales are picking up without the U.S. market being the biggest so far. The first every fully electric MINI is truly creating a history and will definitely mark a new chapter for the British brand.
With all the buzz going around it, the guys from SavageGeese took a really close look at the Cooper SE. Focusing more on the technical skills instead of the design part of the car. You can definitely say that the underbody is quite special. The suspension has some key differences, but generally similar to any other MINI built on the UKL platform.
And they are mostly associated with the batteries. Under the car is the T-shape the press release was pertaining to when the car was launched. It was the battery pack, also carefully wrapped in a protective layer as prevention to any types of possible intrusions. Up close, it really was quite impressive. And everything is made sure to be streamlined for the car to have a better aerodynamic profile.
Concerning the way it drives, its credibility was so obvious on the driver’s smile on his face the moment he sets off the first time. Its range might not be great and its charging may have an infuriating process – considering how long it takes – but you could definitely enjoy this car’s perks.
