The new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe gears up for its first deliveries. The four-door coupe is set to reach the driveways around the world by the end of this year. So, the guys from the BMW Group marketing department put together a short promotional video. It showcases the elegance of its styling, something that entices you to search it up and learn more about it.
Similar to the original 4 Series Gran Coupe, this model received a lot of backlash for its lack of necessity. They also hate that it’s a four-door coupe version of the two-door coupe version of the four-door sedan it is based on. It’s true, but even so, we can’t deny that it is an actual seller and people want to buy it. And as long as BMW gets business from it, they will keep feeding us with the same concept. Nothing is awful about it if I must say.
The car will be available in M440i guise in a mild-hybrid with a 3.0-litre turbocharged I6 under the hood. It produces 382 horsepower (374 horsepower in Europe) and 369 lb-ft of torque. Another version will be the 430i, which will carry a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. It makes 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft without a mild-hybrid tech hiding under its hood.
Ultimately, the design will bring the 4 Series Gran Coupe to the driveway of thousands of customers. And the promotional video focuses on that – shapes of all kinds, creating a parallel between the Gran Coupe body style and our daily lives. It’s actually quite the visual experience. With this, BMW hopes the 4 Series Gran Coupe will appeal to the eyes of enthusiasts.
