[Video] The all-new BMW M135i looks better than ever before

From the very beginning, the current BMW 1 Series has had a difficult time. Knowing that they decided to dump the rear-wheel drive architecture before, BMW probably have predicted it already. Many people have seen this shift to the UKL platform as a withdrawal from BMW’s usual driving dynamics. Just the same, the car did not disappoint and is actually pretty impressive.

What BMW had in mind: a car that offers the latest technologies, more practicality and space, yet more economical to drive than before. None of their plans included compromising the car’s competence in the field as they cut costs. For a fact, the M140i, which is the only rear-wheel drive hot hatch in the world was well-received upon debut. But the truth is, its sales didn’t quite show it.

The 1 Series powered by a 2-liter petrol or diesel engine was famous company car for many people. But for those people, it didn’t appeal to them its lack of features and space inside. Now, BMW resolved those issues in this new model. These are the same opinion of the guys from LoveCars who took the M135i xDrive in an extensive review, including the driving dynamics.

However, you cannot hide the truth in the sales sheets. BMW is a private company that needs to get profits to continue creating cars like M5 or M2. And BMW has to go through unpopular decisions to make that happen. With the BMW 1 Series, it looks like they made the right decision, as it appears to be the best-selling car in Germany so far this year. This just tells alot about Bavarian company serving what their customers want.
