[Video] The earned M Badge of the BMW X5 M Competition

Producing an M badge for an SUV was something that is unconventional less than a decade ago. People have been disagreeing with making M-badged SUVs the same way that they feel with wagons. But in spite of that, BMW did it and was even successful with its first BMW X6 M and X5 M models. In fact, some of its latest replications are also found to have that striking M badge. Thus, the M version has somehow become a requirement for every X5 and X6 generation.

Completely stunned by its performance, a car enthusiast recently experienced what the BMW X6 M Competition can do. One thing that he disliked about it, though, was its rear-end shape. And if you really don’t like it, the X5 M Competition is ready to help. Its better-looking rear-end design is a plus knowing that it gives the same performance as the X6. What’s more, the X5 M Competition is also considered to be an overall practical variant.

In this video, the Marina-Bay-Blue-colored X5 M Competition featured the same specs and wheels with the X6 M. Some are unfortunate to not enjoy a 186 mph (300 km/h) ride because of country restrictions. But thanks to some car enthusiasts, we get to experience this kind of ride at least by just watching.

The engine’s power and overall technology of the X5 M Competition are proof that this size of an SUV can definitely give you that shocking speed. Aside from breaking the wind resistance, its 4.4-liter V8 also have to take all that weight up to the said speed.

At 300 km/h, the wind is obviously the greatest force that this large SUV should fight against. But with the video as evidence, we can suppose that the BMW X5 M Competition can reach this same speed.
