This video features a drag race between a tuned BMW X3 M Competition and a 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S. In the old days, an SUV that drag races a sports car would definitely be a hilarious sight. But because of the evolving technology we have, it is already a possible sight. In fact, you’ll fully get it once you see the performance figures of some vehicles on the market today. This video might give you a clearer perspective of what I’m telling you.
An astonishing pure-bred proper sports car races a BMW X3 M Competition. What is interesting in this video is that the X3 M is a revamped one with a remarkable 650 horsepower and some 600 horsepower at its wheels. The usual power of this BMW only boasts 510 horsepower through a 3-litre straight six twin-turbo S58 engine and its 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Its rival, the Porsche 992 Carrera S, is also impressive with its 3-litre engine but with a flat configuration. While it weighs lighter than the BMW X3 M Competition, its turbocharging produces 450 horsepower and definitely proves that it is a fast one as well. The question then would be how these two would perform from a roll and from a standoff.
The video shows that the BMW X3 M Competition wins twice in both of the roll race and standing drag race. Even though the 911 impresses us at the start, the BMW unquestionably wins with its all-wheel drive. To make this fight fair, Porsche should also gain a credible due with its impressive Launch Control system through its PDK gearbox. Find out more about the performance of these two on this video.
