Do an energy diagnosis which will help narrow down which part of the car is leaking energy. That would also reveal the holding and charge states.
That being said - don't think the battery sensor (actually the right term is IBS) needs to be programmed unless he put a battery in that is different...
Depending on where the PI ride is from - the foreign Navi maps can be converted to the local maps.
Personally - Software updates is not going to be a problem.
But many PI cars are retrofitted with options outside of factory specs so PML can't handle it anyway so no point paying for the adoption.
Engine is the same B46.
But compression ratio is quite different.
Transmission gearing ratio is different slightly.
FD is also very drastically different.
Even with an engine tune - the 220i will never have the kind of throttle response unless you change out the differentials.

But the cbs data could be changed though (not reset) ... if you want to test if the countdown is stable I could make some changes and see what happens.
The EO can be drained and refilled easily.
Just open the drain plug then have it measured.
Then open the oil filler cap and pour it back in.
Better to check than to be running an engine that may be overfilled ...
Coolant is ethylene glycol with additives. And has standards associated - G11, G40 etc.
A coolant mix of 50% water and 50% EG has a boiling point of 107c which is close to the engine's operating temp.
Personally I prefer distilled water over tap water. And water has a higher specific heat...
Lets say worst case its the n46. It's oil capacity is about 4.5l max.
It has a safety for minimum oil level to start the engine which is usually around 60mm. Typically at 74mm it's full.
When the indicator is at minimum - pour in 1L.
In all scenarios - 4L in total is quite excessive...
