Re: Reset Odometer From 100,000k To 40000km there's actually a scanner that is built to do exactly that, came across it when I was in Frankfurt a couple of months back, apparently it's a simple plug and reset thinggie, costs about 500 euros and can be obtained legally in Germany.

nope, never encountered any "ticking" sound from the air conditioner, perhaps the only grouse I have is that it's too darn cold, even with the temperature set way up in the red.

Go with a 6 potter, having driven the E46 318 previously - not that it's any less a bimmer, as a matter of fact, the 4 potter revs just as smooth if not smoother than some v6 in the market. As you've pointed out quite correctly, the 4 potter is indeed "peppy" enough for local thoroughfares...
