hi Silly5, can you advise if you'd recommend having the CarPlay and if so, for what reasons? Still thinking if I should spend the $500 which will primarily for streaming iTune/Spotify music as well as reading/responding to messages.

As it was a loan vehicle from PML, not sure the exact specs but based on the features, it smells like DAP which has semi autonomous driving with steering assisted and speed braking if vehicle slows down in front. Even if the ACC is not turn on, the LKA (lane keeping assist) will steer the wheel...

For those who are interested in the Driving Assistance Plus, Elebest has the aftermarket solution and I understand the damage is in the region of 5 digits :eek:. IMO, BMW's semi-autonomous driving is one of the best as the steering is a lot more precise, esp at high speed, compared to other makes.

Thanks folks for sharing on the VIM; seems like Elebest is the only source now. Spent almost 2 hours and Max finally managed to enable VIM. Coming from NBT on the F-series, the 8" screen resolution is quite good. PM me on the cost but do note that it is more than the $50 for the F-series...
