Re: Calling all 1 series owners... Tried that as suggested in some auto magazine....still cannot. The only way to compare is for me to drive both cars in the same manner. Fuel economy the Merc wins. Driving pleasure, the BMW.

Re: Calling all 1 series owners... Yup, they are the same. Just a bit peeved about the fuel consumption cos I was sold about the 6.8l per 100km sticker that was pasted on the showroom car. Thought it was a good idea to downgrade from my E class to a 1 series cos needed to travel on the road...

Re: Any new 116i owners?) I wish I was. Spiritedly I would get 8.0km/l. Driving highway 80% will probably get me 12km/l. Curiously when I asked the SA at PML, they said 9.5km/l is "normal".

Re: BMW 1 series Hi, I'm driving a 120i. I bought the car cos they claim fuel economy 7.2l/100km. Thot I can drive about 500km before refueling already taking into consideration SIngapore road conditions. But no such luck at 370km or so, the low fuel warning comes out already. Now...
