Re: Anyone driven the new Porsche 991 C2S
Wah! Second hand, no sports exhaust, no sports suspension, no sports seats, no full leather interior still asking $540k???
That's one of the problems of buying a second hand Porsche. It's got to be exactly optioned as you want it, otherwise factory...
Re: Anyone driven the new Porsche 991 C2S
Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with the turbo. Was not a fan until the latest pdk and turbo s iterations which are blisteringly fast. Acceleration-wise, i personally am not very impressed with any carrera or m3 or even a normal GT3. Not that it's...
Re: Anyone driven the new Porsche 991 C2S
I'm assuming you are referring to the pdk verison, especially in the turbo S spec (The older tiptronic versions pale by far in comparison). It is a phenomenal car. Massive acceleration and handling. The pull from the car on full throttle just literally...
Re: Anyone driven the new Porsche 991 C2S
I think the sound of the older Porsches are nice especially the air-cooled ones. Someone brought in an original 911SC to Autoinc the other day for grooming, it sounded and looked amazing, but he wanted a ridiculous price for it. It's hard to say...
Re: Anyone driven the new Porsche 991 C2S
In the 997 and most iterations of the 911 before, if you are going at high speed and hit a little bump or experience uneven roads (which are realistic in real road conditions), the front of the car will hop (or literally get thrown in the air) due to...
Re: Anyone driven the new Porsche 991 C2S
Let's try and clear this up:
1. The 997 GTS is an awesome sports car on and off track. Light weight, tuned up Carrera S, thumbs up :)
2. The 997 series still had great steering feel. Even if you bought a normal carrera.
3. Clar is talking about...
Re: Anyone driven the new Porsche 991 C2S
I don't disagree about BMW. It has always been a mainstream brand together with Mercedes, Audi, etc. But Porsche used to be pretty special when I was young. They had cars that were specifically build for one purpose: driving pleasure. With the launch...
Re: Anyone driven the new Porsche 991 C2S
Sorry mate, gotta disagree with you. The 911s of old were great. Porsche is first and foremost a business, and as a business they have to maximize profits, especially with the buy-out from VW. Most 911 buyers today (and you gotta admit the numbers are...
Re: Anyone driven the new Porsche 991 C2S
I bought the Vantage after the 997 pdk and fiddling around with the Gallardo for a bit (I didn't like the Lambo). To be honest the Aston is definitely not as technically competent as the Porsche nor the M3. Neither is it as powerful or fast. But the...
Re: Anyone driven the new Porsche 991 C2S
Ya man. Same as previous GT3s- You take a massive hit on resale. Most Porsche and especially Aston buyers want a GT rather than a out and out sports car. No more manuals! LOL!
Re: Anyone driven the new Porsche 991 C2S
Selling it.... Times are bad.....LOL!
Keeping the M3 as daily driver.
Save money for the new GT3 if it's any good...hahahaha
Re: Anyone driven the new Porsche 991 C2S
Actually, the main issue putting me off buying a GT3 is that the previous cars take a severe hit on re-sale mainly due to the manual box and heavy clutch- not many people are such car fanatics that they are willing to live with it. So i'm actually...
Re: WTS - E9X M3 Vorsteiner Aero CF Front Lip
No unfortunately it won't fit a E90, else it would be snatched up immediately by E90/E92/E93 owners. Haha!
