118i engine idle - rpm goes up & down

Hi brothers,

Have your ever encounter the car engine idle which causing rpm goes up and down & engine shaking frequently when on "D" mode? Extremely irritating.
It happen last 2 weeks and J4C did the reset then working well but after 3 week these problem came back again. J4C advise to leave the car for software upgrade which took about 7 hours and look at the issue with the new upgraded software.
For the last 3 years my drive all sui sui but when recently hit 60K servicing which need to changed the engine oil, gasket cover, spark plug, gear transmission oil & gear filter then only encounter the engine idle issue. Wonder why ?
Please let me know if your have an experience or how to fix the engine idle issue. Thank you yah.

Maybe is the AF sensor issue.

Check if any of the cylinders misfire, if yes, most likely is the ignition coils. Spark Plugs should not be an issue as you just change.

Does the rpm fluctuations happen when the aircon is completely off ?

Yes on or off the air-con still the same.

I think as same as u, maybe the spark plugs.

No error code that's why very complicate & need software to check. Siannnn half.

In this case I'll leave it to J4C find the caused and revert back to your the outcome. Sharing experiences.
Great that I just found out when we switch to Sport mode "D" only it won't shake the engine but back to "N" mode will be shaking. Because I just went to JB makan & jalan jalan, very the jam so I try it out. If next time your encounter the same issue can use sport mode.
I check the forum for engine idle issue, most of the M series also got the same problem.
Perhaps this is one of the disadvantage of continental car.

Yes on or off the air-con still the same.

The car voltage fluctuates when the engine is vibrating ?

Normal servicing less than S200.

Thank bro beeMuu, perhaps coz my spark plug just changed not long ago. Will see what is the out come from J4C.
I have a few friends driving BMW 328 convertible & 320, they also encounter the same engine idle problem. One of them after solved and it come back again. Hopefully after my car engine idle solved pray for it not to come back again.

Feelings greatful with J4C, after leave my red horse for engine idle fix, received it with rpm all sui sui done by brother Avery Soh and J4C team member. All f.o.c coz under warranty.
Reprogram the software & air flow mess censor changed.
Once again big thank to J4C to make my day more comfortable.

Guess my assessment based on original input was right afterall i.e. AF sensor issue... I wish my assessment of Toto number was so accurate

I am no guru, just from the learning path of past mod days.
